Genocide occurs frequently in human history. It is beyond imagining and a challenge to paint. Courts of Law argue about what constitutes genocide. But we must look. This is the dark side of who we are and we must condemn it whenever it occurs. We need to look at these dear souls, just like us, caught in the fire of human rage. The Angel of Mercy’s wings are barely visible on the bottom right – also a casualty.
