Expulsion from Eden

Expulsion from Eden

9″ x 12″    oil/canvas

Watercolor on paper. A thought in my head, a few quick brush strokes and the thought was visible. A little miracle. The snake represents wisdom: the wakening to choices and consequences. Paradise, if it ever existed except in dreams, is lost and life becomes a moral responsibility as well as a challenge as we deal with fatefull tragedies that happen while we are trying to do the right thing.

“The object of Art is to give life a shape.” – William Shakespeare
