Cholera in Camp

24″ x 28″    oil/canvas

This painting was inspired by a photograph from the Rwandan massacres. The mother has just died of cholera in an overcrowded refugee camp.  Her baby still clings to her body. Photographers are brave souls who work to record the ravages of war so we may not ignore the consequences of human violence. Cholera took hundreds of civilian lives in the US/Saudi war on Yemen. Raytheon Manufacturing made million in sales from Congressionally approved weapons to Saudi Arabia. US Airforce helped guide Saudi planes to their many civilian targets.
