The mystery of death, the pain of loss is our ever companion. Unless we see ourselves as part of every conflict, responsible for the human impulse to violence, confront our fascination for violence, then we are lost. We must understand our biological motives for dominance, for someday the ultimate weapon will darken all our lives.
